Seattle Reiki

Reiki, the Japanese word for the universal life force, the animating power of the universe. This life force has beauty, order, sensuality, and intelligence, just like the sentient expressions of that force. Humans are an expression of that force, and as such are pure and virtuous in the natural, unconditioned, state. As we are reared and educated, we become conditioned, or programmed, much like a computer is programmed. The human organism begins to react to its environment within the conditioned paradigm. The paradigm we are presented with is dualistic in nature. This dualism becomes ingrained and our native, creative intelligence becomes lost in judgments, categorizations, choices, and desire.

The study and practice of Reiki can bring the organism "back" to the preprogrammed state of mental awareness, as was its original intent. "Enlightenment", which is actually an awakening from the perceptual dream of conditioned awareness, was the original purpose and concern of Reiki. The current Western view of it being a "healing" art or relaxation technique is only a small portion of Reiki and its practice.

In Seattle Reiki is freely practiced and taught. A Reiki Master attunes a student and they are free and encouraged to practice. Reiki Masters also conduct Reiki sessions, a Reiki session encourages the flow of life through the client, thereby speeding the healing and overall well being of the body and emotions. In Seattle there are a few training programs to learn the practice of Reiki, these involve the practice of attunements. An attunement is when the Reiki Master passes on the skill to a student practitioner. As the student is attuned in Reiki classes they are then able to practice on themselves and loved ones.

There are also Seattle Reiki practitioners, professionals and providers that offer Reiki sessions. Reiki sessions are not like massage sessions, massage addresses deep tissue and muscle issues while Reiki is the awakening of the bodies cells to the flow of life from deep within the organism.
